The Marketplace

Missouri residents will use HealthCare.gov to apply for coverage, compare plans, and enroll in coverage. While you are shopping for health insurance you can see if you qualify for lower costs and preview plans and prices.You will find out final costs and savings on Marketplace plans based on your specific situation and location when you apply.


November 1st ~ December 15th

The open enrollment is only 6 weeks to enroll in a health plan during open enrollment. Individuals that are  new to the Marketplace are encouraged to start an application as soon as possible to avoid any delays. Consumers may qualify for Advanced Premium Tax Credits that will lower the cost of their plan. In Missouri the average cost of a health plan is around $85.00 monthly after the tax credits are applied. Coverage can start as early as January 1st..  


If you are already enrolled in a Marketplace plan your benefit year ends December 31. To continue your health coverage for the next policy year, you might want to choose a new health plan for the next policy year.  You may also stay with your current insurance plan if offered by the insurer.

It is recommended that consumers update their information annually

during Open Enrollment when enrolled in a Marketplace plan, we can help with that too!

 Before or after the open enrollment period you may still qualify for tax credits that help lower the cost of the premium with a special enrollment (SEP) outside of the open enrollment period.  Why not check it out? There is no obligation to sign up just for looking.
