Individuals that are new to the Marketplace are encouraged to start an application as soon as possible to avoid any delays. Consumers may qualify for Advanced Premium Tax Credits that will lower the cost of their plan. In Missouri the average cost of a health plan is around $85.00 monthly after the tax credits are applied. Coverage can start as early as January 1st..
If you are already enrolled in a Marketplace plan your benefit year ends December 31. To continue your health coverage for the next policy year, you might want to choose a new health plan for the next policy year. You may also stay with your current insurance plan if offered by the insurer.
