The Marketplace

Missouri residents will use HealthCare.gov to apply for coverage, compare plans, and enroll in coverage. While you are shopping for health insurance you can see if you qualify for lower costs and preview plans and prices.You will find out final costs and savings on Marketplace plans based on your specific situation and location when you apply.

 

November 1st ~ December 15th

The next open enrollment period to enroll in health insurance coverage begins on November 1st  remaining opening until December 15th.  Open enrollment to purchase health coverage is reduced now to only 6 weeks.   It's strongly recommended that individuals already enrolled in Marketplace health coverage review and update their application information for the next enrollment year when renewing health coverage.  Individuals that are looking for new health insurance are encouraged to start completing an application as soon as open enrollment starts, November 1st,  to avoid any delay getting their application processed. If found eligible for health coverage and or Advanced Premium Tax Credits health coverage can be effective as early as January 1st.

If you are already enrolled in a Marketplace plan your benefit year ends December 31. To continue your health coverage for the next policy year, you might want to choose a new health plan for the next policy year.  You may also stay with your current insurance plan if offered by the insurer.

It is recommended that consumers update their information annually

during Open Enrollment when enrolled in a Marketplace plan, we can help with that too!

 Before or after the open enrollment period you may still qualify for tax credits that help lower the cost of the premium with a special enrollment (SEP) outside of the open enrollment period.  Why not check it out?
